LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AT OXFORD BROOKES UNIVERSITY
Space becomes an issue when you want to fit in two buildings in the parks of the Headington Campus at OXFORD BROOKES UNIVERSITY.
As a part of the long term strategy of refurbishing some on the existing buildings on OXFORD BROOKES UNIVERSITY campus, a new village of temporary teaching facilities is needed for the coming years. The university wanted to keep these facilities on the premises by including some of the park area for these temporary buildings covering 12 class rooms and 3 large lecture rooms.
Compactness therefore becomes an important issue – however, still fulfilling the requirements to low energy consumption and the best indoor climate.
The contractor, EMS in Hereford, found the VEX200 series to fulfil the requirements to compactness. All rooms are zone controlled via CO2 sensors, and the ventilation is taken care of by a VEX260 and a VEX280-2 using the intelligent iTOOL to remotely monitor the systems.
