Founded in 1957 - Part of the VKR Group
EXHAUSTO was founded in Sorø in Denmark in 1957. The company’s initial success was based on the unique concept of a chimney fan designed to be installed on the top of a chimney to create the optimal chimney draught for open fireplaces, wood-burning stoves and boilers.

The company relocated to its current location at Langeskov in 1963. At the same time the product range was extended to include roof fans. This marked the beginning of a significant development in the ventilation market.
In 1997, the sale of fans was consolidated into a single independent company, EXHAUSTO CDT (now exodraft a/s), while EXHAUSTO A/S continued production and sales of ventilation products.
EXHAUSTO acquired the Norwegian ventilation company Novema Aggregater in 2010. This was the first step in an EXHAUSTO growth strategy that aims to ensure that EXHAUSTO will assume the leading position in the North European ventilation market in a few short years.
VKR Holding acquired EXHAUSTO A/S in 2010 and EXHAUSTO A/S became a part of the group's ventilation and indoor climate business area. VKR Holding own companies involved in roof windows, vertical windows, thermal solar energy plus indoor climate and ventilation, with a total of approx. 15,000 employees in more than 40 countries.
EXHAUSTO has production sites in Langeskov in Denmark and in Flå in Norway and has sales divisions in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany and the UK.
EXHUASTO develops and manufactures products and systems for comfort ventilation. The company aims to be one of the absolute leading players in its field, focusing on extremely efficient, high-quality products which set new standards in the industry.
